Red squirrel:Their fur color appears brown but this can chenge from summer to winter.They have Grey,brown, black fur and long bushy tail.
The squirrels are about 8-10" (20-25 cm) long including the head and 4-5" (10-12.5 cm) wide. The skins are chrome-tanned in China and generally do not have tails. The Canadian Gray squirrels have tufted ears. The #1 skins are 18" to 22" long from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail and 12" to 14" long from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail. The tails are 6" to 8" long. The skins are 2" to 2.5" wide across the middle. They are cased and have tails. There are no feet or claws on these skins. One skin at random weighed 23 grams. Five skins at random weighed 110 grams.
The #2 Canadian Gray squirrel skins are 16" to 18" from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail and 12" to 14" from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail. The tails are 4" to 5" long when present. They are 2" to 2.5" wide. Some of these skins to not have tails. They are all cased. One skin at random weighed 18 grams. Five skins at random weighed 89 grams.
